Edmund Dulac Tarot Deck

Edmund Dulac Tarot Deck

Edmund Dulac spent his career illustrating some of the most beloved works of literature, from The Arabian Nights to Beauty and the Beast, and his paintings carry a richness and warmth that translate beautifully into a tarot context. This deck draws from that vast body of work, selecting images from several of his major projects and arranging them to illuminate the archetypes of the tarot. The fairy-tale quality of Dulac's art adds an unexpected depth to card readings, drawing out nuances and inviting fresh interpretations of familiar meanings.

Sobre el Creador

Edmund Dulac showed a talent for drawing from an early age and was producing professional-grade Art Nouveau work by sixteen. He studied law briefly at the University of Toulouse before enrolling full-time at the École des Beaux Arts, and later won a scholarship to the Académie Julien in Paris. He moved to England in 1904 and quickly built a reputation as one of the leading illustrators of gift books and children's literature, with watercolor as his preferred medium. He became a beloved figure in British artistic circles, collaborated with W.B. Yeats and Sir Thomas Beecham on theater projects, and eventually became a naturalized British citizen, even altering the spelling of his first name to reflect his adopted home.
